Otolith was created by Philadelphia in the year 2000 by Bella Bossard and is currently mom to two boys who are aged three and one Bossard. The name Otolith serves as a loving memory of Bossard's deep experience with fish biology as well as her husband's many connections in the business of fishing. The two are frequently separated for 5 months in a row while they strive to achieve objectives in the areas of environmental and financial that show their determination and independence wherever they live. Bossard's daughter Isabella aged 12 and son Andre, age 10, visit each year for a visit to Southeast Alaska to work in the deckhand position throughout the salmon wild season. They use hooks and line to collect their fish, after which they join Aritan to sell to local processors for two months. They then continue to expand their direct seafood product market through Otolith Sustainable Seafood. Amanda Bossard works as an Anchor/MMJ in News 12 Brooklyn and News 12 Bronx. She has been with the station since November 2015. Her passion is highlighting the good things happening in her boroughs and sharing stories with impact.
